7Q5C —> Chris, ZS6RI rotates between South Africa and northern Malawi every few weeks. When in Malawi he is active as 7Q5C in his spare time, typically during his early morning, late afternoon, or evening hours. He operates mainly CW across the 40-10 meter bands. 8Q, MALDIVES Juergen, DL3JH is once again operating as 8Q7JH until October 10. Activity on 20, 15 and 10 metres using CW, SSB and FT8. QSL via home call, bureau or direct.
8R, GUYANA Aldir, PY1SAD is once again operating as 8R1TM until October 11. Operation on all bands using CW, SSB, digi and SAT. QSL via home call direct and LoTW.
9Q, D.R. of CONGO The Mediterranean DX Club will be active as 9T0MD between September 30 and October 11. The 9T prefix has never been used before. Operation from 160 to 6 metres using CW, SSB and digi. Also on QO-100 and EME. https://www.mdxc.support/9t0md/
6O – Pertti, OG2M will be working at the Somali European Hospital in Garowe, Somalia on 5-25 October. In his spare time he plans to operate mainly SSB and CW as 6O2M (requested callsign) on 40-10 metres. QSL via LoTW.
C2, NAOERO ATOLL Darren, VK2MAP is the callsign that has been used on the amateur radio bands from Naoero (Nauru) since 23 September. The station operates only SSB, typically on 10 and 20 metres. Other bands may include 80, 40, 17, 15 and 12 metres. Activity will continue until 5 October. QSL direct to VK4MAP.
C5, The Gambia – Lui YT3PL (YU5R), Luc F5RAV (C5C) and Darko E70A will be active on various bands and modes as C5R from the Gambia between 1 October and 4 November, including an entry in the CQ WW DX SSB Contest. H4 – Bernhard, DL2GAC will be active again as H44MS from the Solomon Is lands between 3 October and 20 November, and again between 5 Febru ary and 4 May 2027. ON – The Belgian Air Force Amateur Radio Association (BAFARA) will be active as OR80AF on 1-30 October to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Belgian Air Force. HF0PAS South Shetland Islands

DL, GERMANY – The special callsign DB100FT will be active throughout 2026 to celebrate the centenary of the Berlin Radio Tower (Funkturm), one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. The 150- metre-high steel lattice tower occupies a prominent place in the history of radio broadcasting in Germany, as it was used to broadcast transmissions starting in 1926. ZL, NEW ZEALAND ZL100AA is the special callsign celebrating the centenary of the Auckland Amateur Radio Club (ZL1AA), which was formed alongside and as a branch to the New Zealand Association of Radio Transmitters (NZART)
ZL, NEW ZEALAND – The New Zealand Association of Radio Transmitters (NZART) was founded in Auckland in 1926. To celebrate their centenary, NZART members are encouraged to use the ZM prefix during the 2026 year.
