At the suggestion of Paul, ZL4TT, we applied to Radio Spectrum Management for, and have been granted, approval to treat the COVID-19 lockdown period as a “special event.” This means that, for the duration of the lock down, New Zealand Amateurs may use the ZM prefix instead of the ZL prefix on their callsign.
