** Thanks to the individuals who put the island/group and mode (which is very important) on their QSNs on their PacketCluster reports. The format we suggest is “Mode/IOTA#/Island or Group” (ex. CW/SA-036/Aruba).
AS-125. Members of the Amateur Radio Association of Phetchaburi (HS7AP) will be active as HS7AP/P from Chang Island between July 29th and August 1st. Operators mentioned are E20OMN, E21IZC, E24YEJ, E25CVD, E25NNN, E27EK, HS7QNC and HS7UCQ. Activity will be on 80/40/20/15/10 meters using CW, SSB and FT8. They also plan to be in RSGB IOTA Contest (July 30-31s). QSL via E21IZC.
EU-086. (Update) Operators Andrey/R1II and YL Tatyana/RL1I, who were expected to be active as RI1PP from Mestnyy Island at the end of February, reported/posted the following on February 16th: Unfortunately, almost all participants fell ill with the coronovirus. In this regard, the departure from Vorkuta is scheduled for the end of March. But I already doubt that in general this year we will get to this island.
EU-125. Operators Wies/SP1EG, Hans/DK8RE and Hans/DL8UUF will be active as 5P1EG from Romo Island (OZFF-005) between May 7-14th. Activity will be on various HF bands using CW, SSB and the Digital modes, with an IC-7300 + Expert PA into different GP antennas. QSL via SP1EG.
NA-142. Editor of “The Daily DX”, Bernie, W3UR, will once again be operating with the Glenwood DX Association club callsign N3ME from Okaloosa Island, Florida’s rarest IOTA on Saturday, February 19th, from local sunrise to local sunset (1200-2330z). Activity will be on 20-10 meters using CW and FT8. He states, “Because the ARRL DX CW Contest is taking place I will focus on 17 and 12 meters CW and FT8 on 20 meters….. I will be monitoring Twitter @BernieMcClenny and What’s App.” QSL via W3UR and LoTW.
OC-228. Andy, VK5MAV, announced on February 16th [edited]: “Planning to do quick 1 day (possibly 2 days) activation of OC-228 Granite Island on last week of February – first week of March 2022, depends on weather. Exact dates – TBA. Like previously, activity will be from local sunrise till dusk – sorry, local limitations are still in place. Mostly CW on 14/21/28 depends on propagation. If you really need SSB – just send me E-mail and I’ll try to move to SSB quickly (internet coverage is perfect there). Battery, max 100W, multiband dipole.”
SA-025. (Reminder) Operators Orlando/PT2OP, Aristides/PS8ACM, Fernando/PS8CW, Raimundo Jr./PS8DX, Milton/PS8HF, Ronaldo/PS8RV and Nathanael/PS8ZP will be active as ZV8L from the Pedra do Sal Light-house (ARLHS BRA-070, DIB PI-03, WLOTA L-2825) on Santa Isabel Island (DIB PI-01) during the 14th American Lighthouses Weekend between February 18-20th. Activity will be on 80-10 meters using CW, SSB, FT-8 and the QO-100 satellite. Contacts are also valid for the Delta do Parnaíba Environmental Protection Area (WWFF PYFF-0209). QSL via PT2OP, direct (preferred), by the Bureau, LoTW or eQSL.
PLEASE NOTE: Since the Webmasters of the have decided NOT to post or dedicate a Web page to announce upcoming IOTA operations, PLEASE send your IOTA operations information to the OPDX, and we will post it here in an upcoming bulletin……
