The URE section San Fernando (EA7URF) will be active with the special event callsign AM500ISJ between the 20th and 28th to mark a milestone during Magellan’s circumnavigation of the globe.

His fleet wintered at Puerto San Julian 500 years ago.

International Lighthouse Lightship Weekend 2020

The International Lighthouse Lightship Weekend (ILLW) usually takes
place on the third weekend of August.

This year, the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II in the Pacific will be celebrated on this day.

Hence, the ILLW 2020 has been moved to August 22/23.
